a little more about me…

I started my career as a newspaper journalist (when it was printed on actual paper) and a greeting card writer for American Greetings.
When the world went digital, American Greetings and its affiliates led the charge with animated greetings and informational + inspirational blogs that required constant updates to their website copy. While cards were still my passion, I was fascinated by the unlimited potential of omnichannel marketing that allowed me to write everything from old-school direct mail and in-store signage…to quippy digital banners and social media posts. And now, of course, there’s no end to the needs of outstanding copy that can be adapted to every platform.
So why not just use AI?
Because it doesn’t have a heart.
During my twenty-plus years as a professional writer, one thing has never changed: the most effective copy is the kind that makes an emotional connection. More than just clever words, it’s important to be relatable, believable, and genuine — and to make people feel good about buying your product.
A positive perception and personal connection converts browsers to buyers, and establishes brand loyalty for years to come.
